4.3.13 When I think of summer I think of going to the beach and eating ice-cream. I would be wearing a hat and sun block. After that I would go swimming. I would see lots and lots of insects like pray mantises and mosquitoes. Also I would look at all the birds flying past me. At home I would jump on the trampoline like I'm in the circus. I would also look at all the daisies and sunflowers.
On Thursday 4 April 5b and 5d went to Botanical Gardens. When we got there we had morning tea. After that Group three went on a self guided walk around the bush. We saw lots of native trees like Totara, Kowhai, Pohutukawa trees. We had to find information about the trees and write it down. When we were done we had some lunch. After lunch we went into a classroom. Caroline gave us more information about native trees. She had a puzzle of a native tree. It was a Puriri tree. After that we went outside to look at more native trees. My favourite tree I saw was the Pohotukawa tree. Then we all went back to the bus and went back to school.
First you will boil the kumara with hot water and cook the chicken in the oven. After the chicken is cooked you cut it up into small pieces. After the kumara is boiled you mash it with the masher. Put the kumara and chicken on the plate. If you want vegetables cut them and put them on the plate. Then eat yum!

My Holidays!
In my fantastic holidays I went boiling with my two cousins Callum and Brooke, my sister Alanah and my nana. It was fun game and I was winning but at the end of the game I lost. When the boiling game ended my nana let me, my cousins and my sister play in the arcade. We all got cards that we could had money on. We used the card to play the games. I had six dollars on my card. I didn't win anything. After the arcade we all had Mcdonalds for dinner and went to the park.

On Saturday my dad took me to the school Gala. When I got there I went on the mini hot rods with my dad and my sister went with her friend. After the Mini Hot Rods I went to the Book store. Then I got some cotton candy and found Nancy on the field with her little sister. We went in the Haunted House together. Before we went in Nancy’s little sister went in and we heard a big scream! Then we went to the Lucky Dip and Nancy got a glow stick. Then I went to the Book store again but with Nancy. We said hi to Mrs Kaur. Then me and Ashley did a dance performance. Molly and Tyla watched it. Then I saw my friend Lucy and went home.
